Hellenic Network of Workplace Health Promotion (HNWHP)
Pharmacon pharmaceutical wholesaler D. Politis S.A. became member of the Hellenic Network of Workplace Health Promotion (HNWHP) in 2007, as part of its advancement and modernising efforts. This was considered necessary to protect and improve the health of Pharmacon staff, which is one of the company"s priorities.
Smoking, poor diet, stress and lack of exercise are the most important factors that compromise good health and cause several illnesses. HNWHP helps staff improve their lifestyles.
Smiling Angels
In 2009 PharmaComm S.A., a subsidiary of the Group, developed with Pharmacon a programme called Smiling Angels. This programme seeks to make of holidays a good reason for children of the privileged to share their gifts with children that have been less fortunate.
For the 2009 festive season the children of Pharmacon staff, as well as children of other companies in pharmaceuticals that embraced this effort, received two gifts: one for them and another one to offer to children in need. Five thousand gifts were given away and five thousand precious smiles were received in return.
In this same context, company staff and members of the board of directors visited and gave gifts to children in foundations To Hamogelo tou Paidiou, Arogi, SOS Children?s Villages, the Asylum Seekers Reception Centre and Kivotos tou Kosmou, among others.
